Leila has been changing around letters in various words:

• for "pinata" she says "kenyata"
• for "habit" she says "havit"

• Liam is starting to say "daddy" when we pull into the driveway after being away.

• He can say, "no", "mine" (frequently), "mama", "babou"(water or drink of any kind), "apple", "nana" (banana), "more", tante you" (thank you) and "amen".
• He tries to say his version of Leila and Luke but it comes out something like "yeahya" and "uke"

Today Leila was evaluated for swimming lessons.  I stood by the pool while, for the first time, someone else took her into the water.  As I suspected, it's much easier for her to trust someone else when it comes to the water.  There is less arguing and stress.  She was relaxed, put her eyes under the water and even floated on her back a little bit.  The swim instructor said she can start at level one.

Leila is keen to start and is especially looking forward to wearing pink goggles.

So often Leila will ask "why" about things around her.  She tends to then take my answer and ask, "why" again.  Today it was "why does God know everything?"
